Holiday Mail for Heroes

Holiday Heroes

Here’s something we all can do to show those in the service that we are thankful for them and the sacrifices they are making. It’s called Holiday Mail for Heroes and it is sponsored by the American Red Cross.

All you have to do is send one Christmas card (or more) to this address:
Holiday Mail for Heroes
PO Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456

Your card will be distributed to service members, their families, and veterans in the US and abroad. Cards have to be postmarked by December 10th. There are some guidelines you have to follow such as not inserting telephone numbers, email addresses, & pictures. You can go to this site here  or click on the banner and get all the important information about this campaign.

The Red Cross’s goal is to distribute a million cards. All you have to do is send one card. Certainly while you are making out your Christmas cards this year you can send one more.

Let our service people and their families know we appreciate them by participating in the American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes. Tell everyone you know about this campaign. Let’s bring some cheer to our service personnel.

Our family is participating, how about you?
